We had another great weekend at Crosspointe as our Youth Pastor Scott Oltmans spoke a great message of "how to build incredible adults!" A great look at parenting in today's fast pace society. The audio will be up online sometime tomorrow.

Looking forward to the new sermon series that will launch this weekend that will take a close look at the book of 1 Thessalonians. This week I will talk about "How to live a life "in God." This will be a biblical-life series that will check the condition of your heart, attitudes, and actions. It is going to be a great fall!!!

Weekend Wrap

Another great weekend.  Wow, I am continually amazed by how many people you (Crosspointers) are bringing with you to our weekend gathering!  It is amazing and I appreciate you all!  God is moving and I want to be in the middle of it. 

Seriously, our worship team is getting better and better every week.  I love those songs we sang this morning...the guitar lead gives me goose-bumps!!!

It was great having many of my family members be our guests today.

I know God did amazing things restoring marriage relationships today and I want to hear about it.  Please, send me an email of what God is doing to restore your home!!!

I'm an uncle, again

Jennifer's sister, Christy had her third child today at around noon. She weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20 inches in length and her name is Lily Kathrine! Welcome to the family...

Priceless

I know that there is a popular TV ad that says to have a credit card company that works for you is "priceless," and they may be right. I don't know, but they may be. One thing I do know for certain is to have an incredible staff and a great team of elders to build the Kingdom of God together is 100% priceless!!! Without those two teams of people working 1000% in unity - God can never move and His presence will be stiffened. Recently, our teams have each been under attack by the enemy and I am so proud of their character to remain steadfast in the vision that God has for us. You really get to know someone's character when they are being persecuted or personally attacked!

Steven Furtick wrote a blog this week to encourage us to embrace controversy, b/c that is what makes us stronger for the cause of Christ. You can read it here!

Great Morning...

I had a great breakfast this morning with a local pastor. We have a great ministry relationship and I love serving in the same community with him. Are you thankful for the Godly relationships that are in your life? Take a moment to reflect on the many relationships that better you as a leader/christian, and thank God for them.

Weekend Wrap

We had a good turn out yesterday morning at the men's breakfast and then we all headed to an elderly couple's house and moved them into town. It was so humid, but we beat Hurricane Ike.

We had another record day at Crosspointe and busted the 25o mark again!!! It is amazing what God is doing. My wife, Jennifer and I had a conversational style talk/sermon to teach how to properly love your wife and it was off the chain! She is so amazing, I know I am completely biased, but she is!!! Great job babe. FYI: The sermon will be uploaded on Tuesday to www.crosspointeada.com.

At 3:00 we sent a team to a local assisted living center for the elderly to hold a worship service and it went great! We will soon launch multiple teams to minister to several local nursing homes. This is so needed and I am excited about what God is doing in our newly developed Outreach Ministries. There are some great things on the horizon!!!

Another great Connection Group night. I haven't heard the numbers but I know they will be great. Starting Pointe, the group that Jenn and I lead and is for new people went well and I enjoyed connecting with each of you.

A Wednesday Weather Pattern

Have you noticed that it rains every Wednesday here in Ada.  Seriously, more times than not throughout this year it has rained on Wednesday's.  I think that is great as we need the rain, but wanted to point out the obvious!!!

Another Amazing Weekend #2

Happy Grandparents Day!!!

I sound like a broken record but we had another amazing weekend and I am so proud of what God is doing in our midst. So, here's the run down.

We began the new series "Incredible Families!" Another 4 adults accepted Jesus and another amazing crowd!!! Families prayed together. Worship was amazing.

A couple we honored today celebrates 64 years of marriage this week which is crazy in our society. Congratulations for your dedication and you are an amazing role model for many young couples.

Connection Groups set a record with 139 people in attendance!!! That's right, 139 on the first night!!! Connection Groups are discipleship groups where people connect to God and to others.

Sunday's Baptism

Another Amazing Weekend.

I baptized 11!!! Two accepted Jesus!!! Worship was really amazing. Record crowd for Labor Day weekend!!! Like I said, another amazing weekend!

I am extremely excited about the events of this week. "Revolution" a new spirit-led gathering launches this Wednesday at 7:00 PM as we will gather for worship, special music and communion, and Connection Groups launch Sunday Night!

This Sunday I teach the first part of the new series "Incredible Families!" This week's sermon is entitled "How to have an Incredible Home!"
