Greetings One Prayer churches,

We’re excited to let you know what God’s been doing through the One Prayer offering. When we worked together to plan the One Prayer mission, God challenged us with an ambitious vision: plant a total of 500 churches in Cambodia, India, Sudan, and China. So far, participating churches have contributed more than $730,000 towards planting hundreds of churches in our focus areas. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who has supported the One Prayer mission to make an eternal difference around the globe!

Funds are continuing to come in, and if your church still has an offering to contribute, please send it to EnterMission, Inc., 630 E University Dr., Granger, IN 46530. Online contributions will continue to be received here through August 31, 2008. Thank you for partnering with us to share God’s love with those in need of the hope and help that only He can bring.

We’ll post regular updates from the field as we follow the One Prayer mission in action, so stop by the site often and celebrate what God is doing in Cambodia, India, Sudan, and China.

We’re eager to see how God continues to use One Prayer to change lives throughout the world and can’t wait to do this again next year! Remember to keep June 2009 in your plans and prayers and we’ll keep you posted with details as they develop.

Whats Happening

TONIGHT

I hope you are having a great day.  I am so excited about our gathering tonight as I know God is going to move in our midst.  We will be meeting in the Main Auditorium at 7:00 PM for a time of corporate prayer, worship, and teaching.  I will be sharing a message entitled “Living a Balanced Life” and share a few insights on remaining spiritually balanced as a believer.  If you haven’t heard – last night our Samaritan’s Food Ministry fed a record 152 families and over 160 for the month of August.  This is a direct result from your continued generosity by giving to and serving at Crosspointe Church.  Tonight you will have an opportunity to give to replenish our shelves with food as they are now empty and feed more families as the OFFERING will go to the Samaritan’s Ministry!

Baptism Sunday

I know this weekend we will be celebrating Labor Day but that isn’t going to slow us down at Crosspointe.  I am so looking forward to baptizing those 11 who have recently been added to the family of God.  We are going to incorporate the baptism service into our worship so it is going to be a very special day!!!  I will close out the month with a sermon that the Holy Spirit has given me about noticing the Overlooked in our Community!  I can’t wait!!!

JOIN THE REVOLUTION

Next Wednesday at 7:00 PM we will launch “REVOLUTION,” a new gathering that will offer spirit-led worship, special music, communion and biblical teaching!  Next week we will have focus on communion and worship!

Record Setting Day.

Because of your continued generosity we were able to feed 152 families tonight at our monthly food distribution.  I want to give a shout-out to Sue and Jack Martin, Bonnie and Billy Ringwald, and Gladys and Louis Daniels for their dedication to serve our community by leading our Samaritan's Ministry!!!

Food Give Away!

We are 16 minutes away from distributing crazy amounts of food to our community!!!  This is going to be a record give away as we have received more than 75 call this week alone!!!  I'll keep you posted.

September is going to be Amazing!

Kudos to Elevate Band...

Our student band at Crosspointe led worship today and did and amazing job leading everyone into the presence of God.  I am constantly amazed by the depth of talent within our church.  I appreciate Scott and Steffanie so much for leading an amazing group of students!  Good job Elevate Team!!!

WOW! What a day...

No combination of the 26 letters in the alphabet can make a word that properly describes our Gathering this morning.  All I can say is "Wow!"  I love being in the movement of God.  He is so amazing.  Ron and Heather just rocked - really - they rocked.  Ron's word for our congregation was 100% timely and super anointed. 

I am so jazzed about launching more, new outreach ministries which I will lay out next week and I appreciate your heart to serve the community as I had many people say they want to be involved in the ministries that I mentioned this morning!  If you were unable to attend I announced that we are starting three new outreach ministries to the Prisons, Widows, and ???.  You'll have to attend this next Sunday to learn of the third! I am so proud of our congregation for doing what God has asked us to by reaching out to the overlooked people groups with in our world.  Go Team Crosspointe!

I cannot wait to baptize all those who have signed up for baptism next week!!!  We are going to do it differently than in the past by incorporating it into our worship set!  It is going to be so Amazing!!!  

God is moving - it's time to get in.

PS - We have now busted 24o for three of the last four weeks!!!

Looking forward to tomorrow...

Jennifer and I had a great dinner with Ron and Heather, and Scott and Steffanie tonight and I have a sense that we are going to have an amazing Gathering tomorrow at Crosspointe.   I hope you will be able to worship with us.

I had a great, life giving discussion with two local pastors this morning.  I am really enjoying the camaraderie and unity that the three of us are experiencing.  We (the church) are much more impactual and powerful when we join together in unity to build the Kingdom of God.  I know the Future is bright.

I am really looking forward the Fellowship at Bricktown tomorrow night...I am going to eat, eat, and eat!!!  I know we will have great fellowship, food, and baseball! 

Sunday Morning is going to Rock the House!!!  You don't want to miss our Gathering this week as the students of Elevate are leading our worship time and my good friend Ron Rhoads will be preaching and ministering.

Two weeks until the launch of the newly designed FIT TEAM!!!  There are over 50 people signed up to volunteer and serve in this new ministry!!!  Great job Team Crosspointe.

Monday Morning Insight!

Things are buzzing around here today as we've learned that we've had 90 Guests at Crosspointe since April of this year. Thus far in August we have had over 30 alone!!! These are exciting times to be a part of what God is doing in our church community.

Weekend Wrap

1. THREE People rededicated their lives to Jesus today!

2. We had one of largest attendances of the year, only second to Easter and Kids Sunday!!!

3. The worship was INTENSE today! It sounded so rich!

4. We are adding new families every week..something like 40 new people in 4 months!

5. I am so pumped about hosting "Starting Pointe" for all the new people of Crosspointe which will be each Sunday Night at 5:00 PM beginning September 7, 2008.

6. The changes being made to our First Impressions Team will put us a head above anything we have ever done in our church. I can't wait until the shirts get here!

6. I heard the Youth Band rehearse for next Sunday's Youth Gathering and they are going to blow you away! I continue to be amazed at the level of talent in our church.

I am so pleased to announce that Jennifer and I will be facilitating a new Connection Group entitled "Starting Pointe" for those who are new to Crosspointe Church.  Starting Pointe is a safe place for people to connect and learn of the churches core values and vision.  Starting Pointe will also serve as the pathway for membership for everyone!

Great Weekend

My girls are HOME!!!  Yeah, no more sandwiches!!!  

Everyone seemed to love the new banners that are in our auditorium!!!  Two of them will be replaced in about a month, but they sure do make a more intimate environment for our worshipers.

Two adults accepted Christ in our Sunday morning Gathering and they will be baptized soon.  Speaking of which we will have a church-wide baptismal service the last Sunday of August at 10:30 AM.
