I cannot wait to get my copy of the new ESV Study Bible.  I've been waiting five years for this day to come and I am so excited that I am going to get to experience this new Bible.

Tonight is a Must!

Hello Crosspointers!  I wanted to take a moment this morning to remind you of our Gathering tonight at 7:00 PM as we will continue to meet in the Fellowship Hall.  For your convenience, please use the WEST Entrance.  Tonight, I will be sharing the strategy for the next 18 months, the nuts and bolts (so to speak) of the Vision of Crosspointe Church.  It is imperative that you make it out for this awesome time.

Great Weekend

We had an awesome time at Crosspointe Church this past weekend as we hosted Kid's Sunday.  We had one of the bigger crowds we've had in two years!!!  The block party was awesome too.

I am super proud of our church as we had over 80 Volunteers for VBS and Kid's Sunday.  Here are the numbers...

Yeah!  This is my ONE Hundredth Post at Building People and what an awesome week for this to happen since we just concluded ONE Prayer and are currently hosting ONE VBS for our community.  It has been a great experience coming together with two other churches to host VBS.  There has been no strife or contentiousness between the churches which says how FOCUSED everybody is!!!  Nothing but UNITY!!!   

Speaking of God's BIG Backyard VBS we had another amazing night with 178 children!  Children ages 4 to 12 will find great kids, tasty food, fun games, prizes, videos, and friends at ONE VBS.  

VBS Update #1

Monday Night at God's Big Backyard VBS was off the hook, AMAZING!!!  It was the most incredible day we've had here at Crosspointe Church with over 170 children here for VBS!!!  Yes, that is 170 4 thru 12 year olds running all over our building and property and we LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

VBS WOW!!

We are three hours away from hosting the greatest ONE VBS that our church and community has ever seen and amazingly 90 children have pre-registered so far!!!  This is huge!  Last year we had a little more than 30 kids pre-register and we ministered to 190 children throughout the week.  So you can do the math...this year is going to be HUGE!

We will have pictures uploaded every evening at www.crosspointeada.com/vbs for your viewing and we will upload video periodically throughout the week!!! 

Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to make this possible, thus far we have had over 70 Crosspointers volunteer!!!  Thanks to Grace Christian Fellowship and H2O for hosting an outreach at Glenwood Park last night...they had a great turn out and an amazing time!!!

God's BIG Backyard

We are gearing up for the most awesome VBS in the history of our church and community.  We've joined together with two other churches for THREE CHURCHES, ONE VBS which launches tomorrow night at 6:00 PM.  Crosspointe had 45 volunteers tonight to set up, prepare, and set the stage to host ONE VBS and Grace Christian Fellowship and H2O led an incredible outreach at Glenwood Park.  I know it is going to be off the hook amazing!!!

Future Perspective

1.  Three Churches, One VBS!  I am looking forward to One VBS.  If you haven't heard Crosspointe Church, H2O and Grace Christian Fellowship have teamed up to host VBS together this year.  It will be July 21 - 24 at 6:00 nightly at our church.  It is going to be an awesome week.

2.  I am excited about two new series that we are working on for this fall.  The first will be focused on marriage and family and will be entitled, "Incredible Families!"  Then sometime in October/November I will begin a series of the book of 1 Thessalonians, which will include a series on the End Times!

3.  I am looking forward to our new service on Wednesday night which is called "Revolution."  It will launch September 3 at 7:00 PM.  Revolution will include worship, biblical teaching, prayer, communion, and special music.

4.  I am extremely jazzed by the possibility of our church having a presence on the ECU campus as we are teaming up with the UCM!!!   On August 16 we will help students move into their dorms!  I hope you can make it.

Weekend Wrap

Yesterday's gathering was absolutely incredible.  It was evident that God's presence was there and it filled the place.   It all began with an incredible worship set!  Our band is getting better each week and I appreciate their willingness to serve.  Worship prepared the peoples hearts for two directives which was given to us by the Holy Spirit.  First, the prayer in the altar for people who needed a 'refreshing' in their spiritual life.  I know God moved in a great way!  Secondly, was the encouraging word for those who were doubting God's existence, purposes, and destiny in their lives.  Because of the battle that occurs in the mind it is easy to become confused by purpose and lose sight of the destiny that God has designed for you.  So, we had a time of prayer for those who are in a battle and the response was incredible.  Be encouraged, God never negates the plans that He has for your life.
