Have you ever been presented the opportunity to talk bad about a person? In good conscience you may be thinking "YES" and they "deserved" every negative word because of what they have done despitefully against me. As fair as that sounds that isn't the way to express negative feelings about someone and it certainly isn't what God's Word says to do. In all circumstances we aught to carefully guard the words that come out of our mouth.
In Ephesians 4:29 the Bible says, "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear."
Be encouraged to use your words as a building tool to promote kindness and encouragement towards people and not as a demolition tool to destroy others. Here are three things to do when find yourself talking negative about someone else.
1. Be quiet! Also known as KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!
2. Pray and ask God for guidance and strength.
3. Meditate on Ephesians 4:29
