This unity is what our community has needed for some time and some have been longing for it. I've had long-time members of our congregation say, "finally" and breathe a sigh of relief knowing that our generation will work together for the good of the Kingdom of God by laying aside the differences that have separated us for far too long. We are committed to focusing on the thing that unites us, Christ! I honestly have never experienced unity from five different pastors and five different congregations like that of last night.
This event was set up to change lives by feeding the hungry in our community during the Holiday Season, but it wound up changing ME! A change that will affect my life forever. I now see that together we can accomplish more and that we are better functioning as ONE CHURCH instead of my one church.
Thank You to ONE PRAYER which was the cause of two pastors meeting together some months ago to pray and discuss the series of ONE Prayer together. Then they invited me and I was the third pastor to join and then there were five! And now we've grown to six. What was met to have been a few meetings to discuss ONE PRAYER is now a twice a month prayer and support gathering for us. The brotherhood is awesome. Only God knows the future for our community but with this type of unity I foresee a city wide awaking coming soon.
Thanks to Denny Truett of Victory Life Fellowship, Kenny Morrison of Grace Christian Fellowship, Scott Miller of Legacy Church, Zac Christian at H2O Church, and Bob Davis of The Church of the Nazarene for your leadership in leading your teams to pull off such an event.
And, thanks to all the good people of Crosspointe for showing up in great numbers to help serve our community and feed 400 families...you all possess a heart of service that blows me away!
Finally, thanks to my friend Mickey Hensley at Feed the Children that helped make this event a reality for us!
